A person wearing a white helmet and black athletic clothing rides a black bicycle through a grassy, hilly landscape with rocks and shrubs on a clear, sunny day.

What is Duo?

DUO is an electric wheelset that gives your road or gravel bike a helping hand when you need it.

The idea is simple. Keep the bike you already know and love, then add electric assist without the weight, complexity, or compromise of a traditional e-bike.

Swap your wheels, mount the battery, and you’re ready to ride. No cables running all over the bike. No bulky add-on kits. No need to buy a whole new bike.

Whether it’s a steep climb, a strong headwind, or simply a longer ride than usual, DUO helps take the edge off while keeping the ride feel that made you choose your bike in the first place.

Designed in Christchurch, New Zealand and developed alongside some of the best names in carbon, motors, and electronics, DUO is the result of years spent riding bikes, building e-bikes, and listening to what cyclists actually want..

A cyclist riding uphill on a winding mountain road, with parked cars on the side and a cityscape in the distance against a clear blue sky.

We created DUO because we kept hearing the same thing from riders. They loved their bikes but didn’t want a heavy e-bike or a bulky conversion kit. They wanted something light, clean, and simple. Something that felt like their bike, not a compromise. DUO gives riders a helping hand when they need it while keeping the ride feel, handling, and look of the bike they already love.
